Inspired by all of the comments on my original Tunnel Boring Machine video I have set out on a journey to get my TBM to dig through a material. I feel like accomplishing this goal would build upon LEGO®’s series of videos about making LEGO® do real things. An example being their life sized Buggati Chiron entirely out of LEGO® and making drive in real life.

In terms of what material to use, one of the most promising suggestions was snow. I live in a climate that is not conducive to snow, so I went to my local ice rink and picked up a few bins worth of snow to see what the TBM can do. A word of caution before trying anything like this at home: do not use snow from ice rinks for anything. I have played a lot of ice hockey in my time and I know how disgusting it can be. The snow is mixed with paint, spit, and blood. With that great image in mind, enjoy the TBM vs. Snow:
